Safe from Sorrow Now

My heart was frozen with the river
Man, I probably shouldn't've survived
The propellers fell off my jet plane
Wow, what a nose dive – wild ride
Almost became derailed & went insane
Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now
I think I'm safe from sorrow
Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now
Even though there's nothing left to burrow
Yeah, I'm thinking of a future for tomorrow
So, it was we it became. Sorry I brought you shame.
I was thinking you knew I thought it was only a game
All the blankets in the armoire couldn't hide my shivers
But now no matter how I feel I know I'm lucky I'm alive
And I'm just grateful to humbly learn how to survive
Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now
I think I'm safe from sorrow
Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now
Even though there's nothing left to burrow
Yeah, I'm thinking of a future for tomorrow
As the trains go by along the rails and down the line
The river flows and leaves my heart rushing every time
I hear those things – I hear them crying out not knowing
How each way they'll be thought of by those who see them
Just how their day goes – Whether it was bad or a good one
Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now
I think I'm safe from sorrow
Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now
Even though there's nothing left to burrow
Yeah, I'm thinking of a future for tomorrow
