Hi Lisa:
You've become one of my favorite entertainment correspondents. Aside
from Bill McCuddy and Brooke Anderson, I gave-up on watching
entertainment NEWS.
However, I dig you. I dig your presence and your delivery.
It's like sitting down and talking w/ a friend.
Most entertainment correspondents and anchors of entertainment NEWS
shows are products of what the corporate executives think we want to
see or need to see. Fortunately, I can look beyond that as since I
was a kid I have met allot of famous politicians, doctors, lawyers,
authors, critics, economists, professors, actors, musicians,
artists, rockstars, hockey players, football players, baseball
players, etc..
And, I realize now more than ever, for the most part, these people
are just people.
Some of them want to be perceived as inaccessible and unattainable
and allot of entrainment oriented product likes this image as well
and even give the entertainment correspondents and anchors of
entertainment NEWS shows who report on these "stars" an inaccessible
and unattainable image as well. But, in short, people are people and
I fortunately see beyond the cheesy facade that's supposed to
intimidate me, impress me, and depress me by thinking my life is
shit compared to these "stars" and so I should worship and become
obsessed and want to know everything about these people via
entertainment product.
Well, just as I prefer Owen & Luke Wilson & Jack Black over Jim
Carey; and Tobey over Leo; and Johnny Depp over Tom Cruise; and
Matthew McConaughey over Ben Affleck; and Lindsay Lohan over Katie
Holmes; and Kate Hudson over Gweneth Paltrow (yeah, Gavin =
please); and, of course, the great Parker Posey over Nicole
Kidman = well, I prefer you over the majority of entertainment
correspondents and anchors of entertainment NEWS shows. I do like
Jill that's on F&F from Star too.
But my point is that I like more organic, humble, modest and cool,
down-to-earth professionals like you. (Who I also think is hot).
Yeah, someone I would sit down and chat with = really shoot the shot
until dawn.
Best of the Roses,
John French mystrawhat.com
