he had told her not to worry

for all the animals - cats & dogs,

bunnies and deer and polar bears -

all the young children, kids, sons

and daughters, brothers, sisters,

moms and dads, grandparents -

and all loved ones who passed on

that were truly loved and special

all had wonderful chocolate hearts

which melted away on sunny days

peaceful like a dream slowly fading

and these chocolate hearts are so

very special indeed that they live on

in the ways we smile & give thanks
