Subject: will Bill Cowher ever "close the deal" and win a Super Bowl for Pittsburgh???

Dear Brian:

Will Bill Cowher ever "close the deal" and win a Super Bowl for the Pittsburgh Steelers and its legion of loyal fans all of the country?

Sure, Bill Cowher has one many Division Championships, has a respectable record and is very well respected - Though, why can't he close the deal, take Pittsburgh to the Super Bowl and win!?

In 1995 win Cowher took the Steelers to the Super Bowl against the Cowboys while he was only 38, sure it was impressive - But, for me, growing up within "The City of Champions" and having people ackowledge that whever I travelled, it was sickening. I actually quit watching football for a good while  as I thought it was a waste of my time and concentrated on hockey, business, poetry and music. And I was surprised that the Rooney family did not fire Cowher after that.

Cowher does some funny things - like that whole Kordel Stewart thing - what a waste of time! Putting and keeping Stewart at Q.B. because of pride and principal was just stupid - Stewart is a "slash" and not a Q.B. - If he was as good as M. Vick or McNabb that would be different but he wasn't and isn't. And Cowher was stuck on him.

Year after year Cowher gets stuck and doesn't close the deal - Will he ever get over that hump for Steeler fans and win them a Super Bowl. And, if not, why keep "Mr. Chin" around?

Lastly, buddy, do you like Lemuix 66 or Gretzky 99 better or have equal respect?

Sincerely,
John A. Conte JR
