A Documentary Movie
Working with film maker and Emmy Award winning Hollywood
executive, Evan Edelist, is one of the most meaningful and,
yet, fun experiences of my thirty some odd years.
Though, until now, I never realized how much hard work,
vision, planning, making things happen without planning and
relying some on luck and spontaneity, friendship, business
savvy, technology, finances, commitment and dedication goes
into movie making.
As much as I am waiting for this documentary movie to be
completed so I can watch it and share it with others in and
out of the scene and around the world, I keep telling my
self to enjoy this moment like a fine glass of Caymus
Special Select (at like $220.00 a bottle) and, moreover,
that "it's the journey and not the destination."
At any rate, I'm looking forward to Evan Edelist coming back
to Pittsburgh in early June to work with Liz Berlin, Mike
Speranzo and me at Mr. Small's Studios
www.mrsmalls.com on our documentary film project and
also doing our Copper River King Salmon Fest and catching
the Dodgers play the Pirates at PNC Park w/ Evan -
And, then, in July, I look forward to heading out West and
working with Evan Edelist on our documentary film in his
Hollywood studio and the two of us traveling with Rusted
Root
www.RustedRoot.com for a few West Coast shows ---
All the while savoring the time and remembering it's the
journey and not the destination.
I'm not going to worry too much about the work and how it's
gonna be viewd and received and when it's going to be
completed and released.
However, given that, I must say, when this documentary film
is complete it is going to kick-ass and be a meaningful
story that gets you off.
