sure, sure - you all say, "if it's NEWS worthy, it's NEWS!"
come on, do you think I'm a sucka?!
what about political agendas? ...agendas for ratings? ... and
pleasing corporate advertisers... all the things taught in mass
media class by professor Trimball at PSU --- and all the things
taught in logic class at Marquette University as well = like
celebrity appeal, logic behind slick marketing, commercials and
Nazi proaganda, etc.?
"People are strange."
And, that's what is cool about Red eye on FNC.
I want to take this time to thank the bright,
insightful, cool & hip executive for allowing this show
to air and continue. 'Good move, man.
It's a different kind of NEWS programming airing at 2 a.m.
that I believe is ready for more of a mainstream time --- as
long as it doesn't let the "rope get tight" and become dull
by losing it's cutting edge and straying from what it does
best to try and be more mainstream.
For instance, Monday nite had good flow and camera work
"again" (as there was a short hiatus w/ the good camera work
and it was stale and did not provide the usual, unique
perspective for thr viewer of being in the room and taking a
gander here & there at will). Moreover, Janice Dean
caressing and simulating licking the cool, hip, high-heeled
white shoe of Samantha Judge displayed some unusual, "sick"
sh*t and yet makes for some great TV/NEWS programming.
(Yeah, Samantha is hot = I imagine her hair smells like a
botanical garden = and she has clean breath).
The regular cast of characters led by self described
"drugged-up turtle" host, Greg - and the co-hosts Bill,
Rachel and Andy - have percolated dialogue that is engaging
and stimulating beyond the chemistry and dynamics of a
typical new-sroom, new-sdesk and news-program.
It's, basically, the same "everyday" NEWS --- It's just
presented in a special packaging.
What a refreshing break from the normal, same-old-same-old,
we choose what makes the NEWS and not you --- (*like Jim
said --- "whoever controls the media, controls the mind")
--- What a refreshing break from those programs that evoke
the spirit of the crusty, old WASPY man as ultimate
authoritarian figure that could only be the one transmitting
truth broadcasted into our homes for us to eat down as easy
as our breakfasts, lunches and dinners and bed-time snacks
in front of the TV ---
"People Are Strange" and so is Red eye and I love it.

Then- whoosh, and I'm gone...and they'll never see anything like it ever again...and they won't be able to forget me- ever." -- Jim Morrison http://home.att.net/~chuckayoub/Jim_Morrison_quotes_14.htm
